two mommies who needed to get away
------------------------------------------------------------------------------------
This is my kind of relaxation and after a very difficult summer it was much needed. Lora and I have skipped the last two beach trips and this year we decided that we were gonna do it 3 Amigos style. Insert plug for Natalie and her amazing new flat at Lincoln City (so very glad you bought this place!). So I packed my bags, 3 days early and then waited for my exciting Thursday to start. First, school for Ansley, next ANDREA and the kiddos came to visit for the day. Can I just say how much I miss my second little family. I felt like crying all day because I was so happy they were here and dreading the hour they had to leave again. But after dinner and a heartbreaking goodbye between Ansley and Kegan (Anz did not stop crying for almost a 1/2 after Kegan left), Gary and I took the girls over to Tim & Dorothy's. THANK YOU, THANK YOU, THANK YOU, Dorothy (and Tim) for watching my babies all night and all day Friday! Gary left for visits or meeting, don't remember which - I was a little to excited for details at this point, and I waited...for Lora. Lora left Tri-Cities around 4ish and made it here by 8:30. After a quick potty break, some skilled packing, and probably one too many high school girl screaming moments we were on the road to LC. While the drive there became its own little adventure of which I will not discuss ever again in fear of peeing my pants as I roll around on the floor in hysterics, we finally arrived in LC at...well...just look at the pictures...

uhm, yes its full, completly full and we each had just one bag of clothing and a few other personal items, so again yes, the rest is all -AND I MEAN ALL- scrapbooking stuff

THERE IS NOTHING I WILL SAY ABOUT THIS ONE
---------------------------------------------------------------------------------
We left my house at 9ish, did I mention that? That’s all you need to know and yes it should only take about 2 1/2 hours to get there, I know this. And no, I will not talk about it. ANY_WHOO. we had a great weekend with no kids or hubbies and plenty of Jane Austin, good food, paper, paints, trinkets, pictures, glue, the beach, and all the things that help me feel creative and alive. My favorite part always, is telling the stories. We spend so much time talking about why we love this picture and telling the story behind that picture, I always walk away from a crop IN LOVE WITH MY LIFE AND MY HUBBIE AND MY GIRLS! I think this is what makes me feel so happy. I get a chance to sit down away from the stress of the world and capture all the moments and the people that make my world go around. So here are some of the results...actually all of them. I spend a lot of time on each page when I know I can, I use my night hours at home in the garage for quick pages. Hope you enjoy them because I LOVE them!

the view from the living space of Natalies amazing flat!

a beautiful shot of a storm rolling in

dinner at a great little chinese

this is how we lived from Thursday (well technically Friday) to Sunday

Yeah for a get a way! I hope your battery was recharged and that you get another one soon.
ReplyDeleteI made it ot the end cause I like ya of course but I also can't stop staring at your BEAUTIFUL little girls. Seriously, after sitting behind you in sacrament last week, I told myself I will always try to stay in front of you where we usually are because I couldn't quit looking at their beautiful little faces!
ReplyDeleteI'm so glad you had a good time. I don't know how you manage to stay so connected with all your old friends. I'm envious.
ReplyDeleteAnd yes! you truly have a beautiful family.
